As I swim through this challenge called life

You are ever with me

Through the valley of sorrow

In the depths of despair

When the anchors of pain weigh me down

You are my lifeline

You are my help

You set me free from every entanglement of shame

You deliver me from the teeth of the sharks

Though the tides rage

You say peace be still and it is

As I drown in my foolishness

You resuscitate me with your fresh breath of wisdom

When the poisonous tentacles of men reach out for me

You protect me saying touch not my anointed

You call me out upon the waters

But doubt cripples me and with a splash I fall

But you pull me up

With you I am safe

And as I take each step

My faith is strengthened

My hope renewed

My light rekindled

I stand confident in you

Confident in your love
